Egg news
If you child has been talking about eggs and chicks in the class, yes we are hatching eggs. We are currently incubating 3 eggs. They should hatch on April 28th. We will keep the chicks in the class until mid May so the children learn to properly take care of living creatures.
If you would like to have some chickens at your home for a visit ( 1 night or over the weekend) or to keep after mid May please let me know. I will not send home chicks until I talk to parents.

Valentines Day
Just a quick reminder. If you choose to send in valentines day cards with your child please make sure that they only have your child's name on them. This will allow your child the pleasure of passing out their own cards. Also no candy, gum or sugary treats please.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Kindergarten parents please make sure to listen to your child read on a daily basis. We practice reading every day in the class and the extra practice they receive at home as well as you spending time to listen to them read demonstrates that you value this skill that they have been working daily on.
On Monday Feb. 3rd we are walking to SHAW Montessori to experience a presentation on the Grand Canyon. If you have not turned in permission slips please do so by Thursday. The presenter has placed a limit on the number in the audience and due to the short distance chaperons are not needed.
